Next week’s meeting will include a vote on the revised SA constitution. All fulltime undergrad students present at this meeting will be able to vote. We are still finalizing the location of the meeting, so more information on that will be coming soon. Click on the link below to read this proposed draft–this is the document that governs your Student Association, and you have a vote in whether the draft is passed or not next week.
Polls are now open to vote for your class officers and the president and VP of the Student Association for the 2010-2011 year!
You can vote using this link www.vote-smc.com, or in Alliot between 8AM-7PM today and tomorrow.
There were many vacant spots for class officer positions in the classes of 2012 and 2011–to write in a candidate, you must vote on a paper ballot in Alliot. These will be your leaders for next year, please vote!
Last week the senate granted club status to the newly formed Tap Dancing Club.
At last night’s meeting, the senate approved $500 from the general reserves to go towards Autism Awareness Week, to be held March 28-31. The events will be spearheaded by Joshua Miranda ’13 and his committee. Watch for more info coming after spring break.
The senate also voted to approve the new draft of the SA Constitution, as presented by the Constitutional Advisory Committee. With this approval, the new draft moves to a schoolwide vote which will tentatively be conducted during an open meeting the last Tuesday of March. Any fulltime undergraduate student present at this meeting can vote on the new Constitution. Watch your email and the SA Facebook page for more information, and view the draft by clicking the link below.
